We rely on our band parents to fill many vital volunteer roles throughout the year to provide the best experience for our students.We use Sign Up Genius for our volunteer opportunities. Parent/Guardian Volunteer Sign-ups

2024 Band Performance's Pit Crew, Chaperones & MoreParents are needed to help with unloading of equipment/props off the trailers, onto the performance fields on&off, carry water, etc at both football games and marching band competitions. We need on average 10-15 parents ("the more the merrier") for these tasks. On competition days will also need parent chaperones to assist the directors and help maintain order. All chaperones and volunteers must complete a district volunteer background check prior to helping with students. 2024 Band Trailers PullersOur Marching STARS have 2 trailers to transport instruments, uniforms, props, etc to football games and marching band competitions. We need to individuals with towing capacity vehicles, 3-quarter ton, to pull the trailers. The dates listed below indicate the location and have tentative times were available. 2024 STARFEST Floater Volunteer - AdultsWe're excited to celebrate the 26th Annual STARFEST Marching Band Competion on Saturday, September 28th held at E. Olsen Stadium on the campus of Morningside University. Our STARFEST Marching Band Competion is made possible by the dedication and hardwork of our directors, Marching Stars members, student/community volunteers, North Stars Band, Inc. (our band parent led organization), and the STARFEST committee. This event is our largest fundraiser. It supports our band students. The funds help fund our band ensembles with the cost of fees, instrument repairs and purchasing, related resources, unique opportunities for learning and scholarships to summer music camps. Floater volunteers help with special tasks, break relief, or filling any open volunteer positions. Prepare to be flexible & hit the road running wherever you are needed. Due to the flexibility of this position, it's an all-day 10am-10pm position, half-day 10am-4pm or half day 4pm-10pm.
