North Stars Band, Inc.
North Stars Band, Inc. is a non-profict 501(c)(3) organization, EIN: 42-1492982, intended to support the Band Programs of Sioux City North High School and its students.
The organization focuses on providing financial support to all of the band program's ensembles which include Marching Band, Symphonic and Concert Bands, Pep Band, Indoor Winter Drumline, Jazz Bands and Mariachi Band. The parent group is responsible for coordinating our annual STARFEST Marching Band Competition. The event is the largest fundraiser of the year and funds all band ensembles, competition fees, instrument repair and purchase, related resources, unique opportunities for learning and provides scholarships to summer music camps. All funding for the North Stars Band, Inc parent organization comes from fundraising and private sources.
The group organizes parent volunteers to assist the band directors with band camp, football game half-time shows, pep band performances, competitions, rehearsals, travel, meals and all the logistics needed during the year.
The organization is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of band parents. The officers are elected annually and all band parents are considered members of the organization.
