26th Annual STARFEST 2024 Field Competition
will take place
Saturday, September 28th, 2024 on the campus Morningside University - Olsen Stadium
Register your band today! Registration is open to bands on a first-come, first-serve basis. Register by May 30, 2024 to receive our early bird discount. After you complete your registration, please print out your invoice and mail to North Stars Band, Inc., P.O. Box 2044, Sioux City IA 51104
STARFEST Field Competition Details:
🎶 On average host 16 bands from Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota and South Dakota.
🎶 The event is held at Olsen stadium, on the campus of Morningside University, and has seating for over 10,000 audience members. The stadium has concessions, bathrooms, turf field and Daktronics video board.
🎶 The competition is an IHSMA (Iowa High School Music Association) registered competition consisting of a prelims performance by school size and followed by the top 10 high scoring bands competing in a finals contest.
🎶 Trophies are awarded in each class in prelims and all placings in the finals. Caption awards are presented after finals.
🎶 STARFEST provides positive adjudicating experiences for directors and band members with experienced judges from TriState Judging. Participating bands will receive a performance video, judges audio commentary and scores which will be sent via Competition Suite and an opportunity to visit with the judges following prelims and finals.
🎶 On-site concessions stands are open during the entire festival.
